In May 2024, I had another opportunity to paint in Penge with the help of the London Calling Blog. London Calling Blog helps coordinate the street art scene in Penge and provides a great service to everyone involved. There’s an earlier blog post where I go into more detail about my last trip to Penge.
London Calling Blog had a fantastic wall lined up for me on the high street. I wanted to take full advantage of this opportunity and paint something with a message that was also visually interesting and suitable for public viewing. My piece was titled "Biosphere Tears." It featured a woman's face with sad eyes, wearing a helmet partially flooded with water, two birds on either side of her, and flowers and jewels above. The tone conveyed a soft sadness for our environment.
As always, the locals were great, and I enjoyed my time there. I'm looking forward to getting back to Penge around May 2025.
